What shapes the price
of your plan.
Four choices make most of the difference. We help you find the right balance between the cover you want and the budget you have.
Your age
Each insured person is priced on their age, and premiums usually rise with age.
Where you live
Even with worldwide cover, prices depend on your main country of residence.
Your level of cover
Hospital only, or with everyday care and extras: each block you add is reflected in the price.
Deductible and co-payment
Paying a share of some costs yourself can noticeably lower your premium.
Good to know: many plans can be paid annually or quarterly, and family members can be added to the same policy.

Your questions,

The essentials about international health insurance. Find more answers in our full FAQ, or ask an advisor directly.
Who is international health insurance for?
For anyone living outside their home country for the long term: expats, international families, retirees and remote workers. Most insurers ask that you live outside your country of nationality.
Is there an age limit to join?
Each insurer sets its own maximum age for new members, and some accept older applicants than others. Enter your date of birth in the quote tool and we will show you the plans available at your age.
Can I keep my cover if I move to another country?
Usually yes. If your new country is within your area of cover, you inform your insurer and the premium may be adjusted to your new country of residence. If it is not, we help you review your options.
Are pre-existing conditions covered?
Insurers take different approaches. Some assess your medical history and may offer cover with exclusions or other terms; others exclude pre-existing conditions. Declare your history accurately and check the insurer’s written decision before subscribing.
How can I lower my premium?
A deductible or a co-payment, a smaller area of cover (for example excluding the USA) or keeping only the benefits you need can all reduce the price. Your advisor shows you the impact of each option.
Are there waiting periods?
Certain benefits, such as maternity or dental care, may have waiting periods. These differ by insurer and policy, so check when each benefit becomes available.
How do I get a quote?
Fill in the quote tool above in about two minutes. You receive a personalized comparison by e-mail, then a BPA advisor reviews it with you. Free and without obligation.
